Many of you have asked me to weigh in on the #medbikini issue. In case you missed it, a study was released titled "Prevalence of Unprofessional Social Media Content Among Young Vascular Surgeons," which looked at the social media accounts of nearly 500 young surgery trainees. The study was led by 3 male authors, who created fake social media accounts and followed female surgery trainees to look for what they deemed to be “unprofessional” content, e.g., wearing bikinis, holding alcoholic beverages, or dressing up in costumes…
